Traditionally, India
has had higher moral standards than most parts of the world. Marriage has
been held as a sacred institution. Recently, there has been a major change
in the cherished values mainly attributable to the impact of media. People
in India, while pretending to be morally upright, often brush a problem
like HIV under the carpet.
