New Editors

We offer a warm welcome to our newly added editors Laura McCavit MS, RD, LD, and Amritha Roser, MS, RD. Both editors are members of the American Dietetic Association's (ADA) HIV/AIDS Dietetic Practice Group (DPG). Laura resides in Dallas, Texas and has a BS and a MS in Dietetics from Texas Tech University. She is an HIV clinical dietitian at Amelia Court Clinic, which is a part of the Parkland Health & Hospital System, and a BTG Dietetic Consultant. Laura is also an active member of the Dallas Dietetic Association, Dallas HIV Nutrition Advocates, and Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. 

 
 
 
 


Amritha has been on the staff at the County of Orange Infectious Diseases Clinic since 1993, as an HIV clinical nutrition specialist. She was also the HIV specialist dietitian at the outpatient, Infectious Diseases Clinic at the University of California Irvine Medical Center for three years. Amritha received her BS and MS from California Polytechnic University of Pomona. Ms. Roser is a member of the Orange County Dietetic Association, as well as the ADA's Diabetes Care and Education DPG. In addition to providing routine nutrition care to patients, she has been a guest lecturer at Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Long Beach Schools of Nutrition and Public Health.
